Without wishing to pick too heavily from my CV, I am a conscientious, compassionate and hardworking individual who always aims to do his best, both personally and professionally. Whilst I always do my best, I have learned that there is no shame in accepting when you may not know all you should about something, by identifying where one lacks knowledge or confidence, we can then start to learn. Despite this, my belief has always been, if I don't know something as well as I should, I will purposefully aim to put myself in a position to deal with it, thus ensuring I've no choice but to figure it out, so that next time a project/job like it comes up, I'm able to state "I can do it".
This is one of the driving forces behind the reason why I joined the AWS Academy in late 2021, and created this website. I am passionate about technology, how it shapes our world in so many conscious and unconscious ways, and how the development within the industry is often beyond belief - one begs the question; "What else can we do?" It was for this reason I sought to attain the AWS certifications, as I knew this was the industry I wanted to end up in, and thus I told myself I better start learning more. This website is my "I can do it" showcase, and I'm hoping to do much more.
I have excellent experience in working in high-intensity, high-pressure, time-constrained, challenging but needing to be adaptable, environments; having worked in an international retail corporate head office, running a mental health organisation, and as a police constable. No two days were ever the same, but each minute of each day was approached with the same "Let's do this" mentality.
I've never had a problem saying "I don't know exactly", but that has always been followed up with me doing my utmost to learn what I can. Where I can't learn something, I am more than happy to ask and seek help from those more experienced and knowledgeable - who better to learn from than someone who's done it before? Asking for help is always a learning opportunity, regardless of if the help is given or not, and we can never know too much.
I thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team; being part of a well-oiled machine, each with our own personalities, strengths, interests and beliefs, is conducive to learning. The exchanging of ideas and knowledge, supporting one another as well as each leading by example, is all a perfect recipe for success. I've extensive experience in working within groups of all sizes, from my days working in mental health, all the way through to my policing. These experiences have ranged from working within well-oiled machines, as well as the squeaky, disjointed types of machines, too; though one thing remained consistent, I always tried to be a part of the solution, not the problem.
My ability to work on my own initiative has been central to every position I've held, with extensive successes in each. These successes are born out of my desire to succeed; not just to do well, but to succeed. I wish to make a difference, I wish to involved in forefront of helping others attain their goals and, most importantly, do the best job anyone can for those I work with, and for.
I've also had a few people ask about the website name. The name is an combination of the Persian meanings of my child's names, and I felt it had a great ring to it. Certainly better than a website of just my name - most people struggle pronoucing my name, let alone spell it.
